Legal Updates
In this section of the website, the Revise SQE team are delighted to provide you with updates on the law that is assessable on the SQE assessments. This page acts as your companion to the Revise SQE series of revision guides and will ensure that you remain up-to-date and ready for your assessments. This page will be populated as and when new updates arise of relevance to SQE candidates.
Importantly, SQE1 and SQE2 will be testing a candidate’s knowledge of the law as it stands four calendar months prior to the date of the first assessment in an assessment window.
The next SQE1 assessment starting date will be 14 July 2025; candidates will therefore be tested on the law as it stands on 14 March 2025. Any update uploaded after 14 March 2025 will be relevant for the next assessment window in January 2026.
The next SQE2 assessment starting date will be 28 April 2025; candidates will therefore be tested on the law as it stands on 28 December 2024. Any update uploaded after 28 December 2024 will be relevant for the following assessment window in July 2025.
