Revise SQE is a team effort, bringing together some of the most qualified legal educators and publishing professionals to devise a unique series of books and ebooks for SQE1 and SQE2.

Amy Sixsmith

I’m an Associate Professor in Law and undergraduate LL.B. programme leader at the University of Sunderland. I’ve taught on undergraduate and postgraduate law courses for 12 years, and was one of the academic leads involved in transforming the University’s LL.B. programme to comply with the specification of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.  

David Sixsmith

I am an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University.  I was previously a Senior Lecturer in Law and the programme leader for the Legal Practice Course and postgraduate SQE provision at the University of Sunderland. I am a non-practising solicitor and have previously been a partner at a high street firm. I am heavily involved with the development of profession-facing legal education, and teach Dispute Resolution and Wills & Administration of Estates.

Mark Thomas

Mark Thomas has taught law for several years at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the Legal Practice Course (LPC). Mark has published academic textbooks in the field of criminal law and evidence, and has extensive experience in writing revision-style books for law students. He is also the co-author of Revise SQE: Criminal Law and Revise SQE: Criminal Practice, and acts as the MCQ Advisor and Reviewer for the Revise SQE series.

Sales and Marketing

Sue Hall

I have a wealth of experience in sales and marketing gained from working at Jordan Publishing and College of Law Publishing. In recent years, I’ve set up Hall and Stott Publishing with a colleague and am responsible for researching courses and developing our law books and ebooks. I have excellent contacts in academia and the book trade, and bring a personal approach to marketing, selling and distributing titles.

Jonathan Harris

 

I’m the elder statesman of the team having been a publisher for nearly 40 years, helping students succeed in achieving their professional goals. I was one of the founders of the law publisher, Blackstone Press and I also started Learning Matters, publishing books for teachers, social workers and nurses. For many years I’ve worked on the LPC manuals published by CLP and for eight years until summer 2023 I was President of the Independent Publishers Guild.
